Mumbai, Jan 14 : The story of Netflix’s hit series ‘Adolescence’ might not be finished after all. Originally presented as a one-time, limited series, the show captured audiences with its intense exploration of guilt, trauma, and parenting but now, following a major night at the Golden Globe Awards, fans are buzzing with speculation about a possible second season.
Stephen Graham Teases the Future
Golden Globe winner Stephen Graham, who plays Eddie Miller, was asked backstage whether the series could return for a second season. Instead of a definitive “no,” Graham left the door open.
“I cannot answer that question,” he said, teasing that the idea of a second season exists in the “deep recesses” of his mind and that of co-creator Jack Thorne. “We might pull the idea out in three or four years… so stay tuned.”
Early Talks Already Underway
Season 2 speculation isn’t new. As early as April 2025, producers had quietly explored potential directions with director Philip Barantini. Plan B co-presidents Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner said the challenge lies in advancing the story without repeating the emotional impact of the first season.
