Leaders Pay Tribute to Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, and Families During 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day
Jammu, Jan 14: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Wednesday greeted veterans on the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day 2026.
Sinha expressed his gratitude and saluted the valour of the brave men and women of the Armed Forces.
“I express my deepest gratitude to the Veer Naris and family members of veterans,” the Office of the Lieutenant Governor posted on X.
Lt Gen Sharma and all ranks of Northern Command also extended greetings to veterans, their families, and veer naris (wives of defence personnel who have laid down their lives for the nation), marking the 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day.
Later in the day, Sinha is scheduled to address the 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day rally, highlighting the government’s continued commitment to honouring the service and sacrifices of ex-servicemen.
The Indian Army began the 10th Armed Forces Veterans’ Day celebrations on Tuesday with a two-day mega rally in Rajouri, reaffirming the nation’s dedication to recognising the contributions of its veterans.
