Ladakh Administration Freezes Administrative Boundaries Until Census 2027
Boundaries of districts, tehsils, municipalities, towns, and villages will remain unchanged ahead of the 2027 Census.
Leh, Jan 15: The Union Territory of Ladakh administration has ordered the freezing of boundaries for all districts, tehsils, municipalities, towns, revenue villages, and other administrative units across the UT until the completion of Census 2027.
The directive aims to maintain consistency in administrative divisions and ensure accurate data collection during the nationwide census exercise. All authorities have been instructed to adhere strictly to the current boundaries until the census is concluded.
