“Not Just Acting, But an Experience”: Adarsh Gourav on ‘Tu Yaa Main’
BAFTA nominated actor emphasizes high-concept cinema, creative risk, and immersive storytelling in his latest project.
Mumbai, Jan 24 : BAFTA nominated actor Adarsh Gourav, known for selecting idea driven and high concept projects, says films like Tu Yaa Main go beyond conventional acting, offering performers fully immersive experiences.
“Films like Tu Yaa Main aren’t just performances, they’re experiences. They push you to evolve, to think differently, and to approach acting with a fresh perspective,” Gourav explained. He highlighted that such projects demand emotional, physical, and creative transformation, rather than surface level portrayals.
Gourav, drawn to strong ideas and distinctive cinematic worlds, says his focus is on originality and creative risk. “High concept films allow you to explore scale, imagination, and emotion at the same time,” he noted, whether in global productions or unconventional Indian cinema.
Tu Yaa Main, directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Aanand L Rai under Colour Yellow in collaboration with Bhanushali Studios, is a survival themed story starring Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor. The film, offering a fresh take on love, survival, and human instinct, is set to release on February 13, 2026.
Gourav’s career spans Indian cinema and international platforms, with acclaimed performances in Made in Heaven and The White Tiger, the latter earning him BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations. Known for his versatility and grounded performances, he continues to prioritize character-driven and high-impact roles.
