Chief Minister Sai Calls Budget a Step Towards Developed India

Chief Minister highlights focus on economic growth, employment, and rural upliftment

RAIPUR, Feb 2: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday praised the Union Budget 2026-27, calling it a historic roadmap that lays the foundation for a developed and prosperous India.

In a statement, Sai said the budget, prepared at the Kartavya Bhavan, focuses on three core duties: driving economic growth and employment, addressing public aspirations, and strengthening the ethos of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. He noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the measures will benefit the poor, farmers, youth, women, middle class, and working population.

The chief minister highlighted provisions aimed at boosting farmers’ income and enhancing the rural economy. The budget proposes leveraging artificial intelligence and modern technology to improve agricultural productivity, promoting animal husbandry and dairy development, and creating jobs through local industries and handicrafts under the Mahatma Gandhi Gram Swaraj initiative.

Sai said Chhattisgarh is expected to gain directly from several initiatives, which will further strengthen its socio-economic growth and contribute to the nation’s vision of a developed India.
