Siddhant Chaturvedi Reflects on UP Roots, Language Barriers and Self-Discovery

Ahead of his next release, the actor reflects on overcoming self doubt and embracing his identity while navigating Mumbai’s film industry.

Mumbai, Feb 05 : Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi recently opened up about the experiences that shaped his personality and artistic journey as he prepares for the release of Do Deewane Seher Mein. Speaking at the film’s trailer launch on Wednesday, he shared insights into his upbringing, early struggles with language and the path toward self-confidence.

Originally from Ballia in Uttar Pradesh, Siddhant revealed that Bhojpuri was his first language and remains closely tied to his sense of identity. However, transitioning to Mumbai brought unexpected challenges, particularly in adapting to the linguistic expectations of the film industry.

He recalled that during his initial years in the city, communication did not come easily. Even his Hindi, he admitted, was fragmented at the time, reflecting the adjustment many newcomers face when moving from regional backgrounds to metropolitan spaces.

The actor highlighted how language differences can subtly affect confidence. Becoming aware of pronunciation variations while learning English and refining his Hindi made him more self-conscious in social and professional settings. Siddhant noted that such barriers are not limited to any one region but are commonly experienced by people relocating across the country in pursuit of opportunities.

Emphasising personal evolution, he said his learning came largely through everyday interactions rather than structured lessons. Over time, he found ways to improve while staying connected to his roots. Sharing a lighter anecdote, the actor mentioned that a past relationship with someone fluent in English unexpectedly contributed to his growth, both emotionally and linguistically.

Do Deewane Seher Mein is scheduled to hit theatres on February 20, 2026. As Siddhant continues to expand his filmography, his reflections underscore the role of resilience and authenticity in carving a space within the industry.
