Be self-reliant & job creators: Tony to Jammu youths  

Jammu, February 5, 2026: In a significant development aimed at providing reliable overseas consultancy services to the youth of Jammu, Global Tourism & Assistance (GTA) Overseas inaugurated its new office at 1775/F, Shastri Nagar, opposite Dudhadhari Temple, Jammu, on Thursday. The office was formally inaugurated by Senior Congress Leader and District Development Council (DDC) Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony, in the presence of local residents, youth, and well-wishers.

Speaking on the occasion, Taranjit Singh Tony appreciated the initiative and stressed the growing need for trustworthy visa and overseas consultancy services in the region. He stated that increasing cases of fraud by fake agents have caused major financial losses and emotional distress to many families. He said that offices like GTA Overseas will help ensure genuine services with transparency and professionalism, which is essential for people planning to study, work, or travel abroad.

Tony also encouraged the youth to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and become self-reliant. He advised young people not to depend solely on government jobs or remain job seekers. Instead, he urged them to follow examples like Manish, who created opportunities by starting his own venture. He said that the youth should aim to become job providers and contribute towards employment generation and economic growth.

The owner of GTA Overseas, Manish, who has previously worked in Chandigarh, said that his experience in the overseas consultancy sector helped him understand the challenges faced by applicants and the rising number of visa fraud cases. He said that many families lose their hard-earned money due to false promises made by illegal agents. He emphasized that the main objective of opening the Jammu office is to provide pure, ethical, and transparent consultancy services while guiding applicants through the correct and legal procedures. He assured that the consultancy will maintain complete transparency in documentation, service charges, and application processes while offering professional counselling to clients.

Local residents and attendees welcomed the opening of the office and expressed hope that such initiatives will reduce dependency on consultancies outside Jammu and provide reliable and professional services within the region. They appreciated the focus on transparency and ethical guidance, stating that such services are essential for youth aspiring to explore global education, employment, and travel opportunities.

The inauguration ceremony concluded with interaction between visitors and the GTA Overseas team, who provided detailed information about visa procedures, documentation requirements, and overseas opportunities.
