Manoj Sinha Pays Homage to CRPF Heroes on Pulwama Terror Attack Anniversary
Pulwama terror attack anniversary marked with solemn tributes
JAMMU, Feb 14: Manoj Sinha on Saturday paid homage to the Central Reserve Police Force personnel who were killed in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, honouring their courage and dedication to the nation.
In a message shared on X, the Lieutenant Governor remembered the fallen personnel for their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. He said their bravery, commitment and selfless service to the country would continue to inspire generations.
On February 14, 2019, a suicide attacker rammed an explosives laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy in Pulwama district, killing 40 personnel. The incident triggered nationwide grief and condemnation.
In response, India carried out a retaliatory strike days later, widely referred to as the Balakot airstrike, targeting terror infrastructure across the border.
