Galgotias University Directed to Vacate AI Summit Expo Venue Immediately: Sources

Controversy over alleged misrepresentation of imported tech triggers action

NEW DELHI, Feb 18: Galgotias University has been directed to immediately vacate its stall at the AI Summit Expo following a controversy surrounding the display of a robotic dog, sources said on Wednesday.

The dispute surfaced after the university showcased a robotic dog branded as “Orion,” which critics claimed was a rebranded version of the China made Unitree Go2 rather than an in house innovation. The allegations sparked widespread criticism on social media, with questions raised about the authenticity and ownership of the technology on display.

Sources indicated that authorities overseeing the expo asked the institution to clear its stall in view of the ongoing row. The development comes amid accusations that imported technology was presented as an original creation.

In response to the backlash, the university issued a statement addressing the concerns related to the exhibit.
