One Killed, Two Injured in Road Accident in J&K’s Poonch

Jammu, Feb 28: A man was killed and two others sustained injuries after a loaded truck met with an accident in the Kalai area of Poonch district on Saturday morning, officials said.

According to authorities, the vehicle was travelling from Jammu to Poonch when the driver reportedly lost control near Kalai, causing the truck to overturn and roll down the roadside.

The deceased has been identified as Maksood Ahmad. The injured  Sajad Ahmad (22), son of Mohd Afzal from Sarikhawaja, and Zahoor Ahmad (21), son of Mohd Ashraf from Fatapur  were shifted to District Hospital Poonch for medical treatment.

Police have taken cognisance of the Poonch road accident and initiated further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
