HUBBALLI, Feb 28: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah arrived in Karnataka to witness the concluding day of the Ranji Trophy summit clash, rallying behind the Jammu & Kashmir side as it stands within touching distance of a historic achievement.
Describing the occasion as a watershed moment for cricket in the Union Territory, the Chief Minister said the team has displayed commanding performances throughout the five-day contest. He noted that their consistency and dominance have brought them to the verge of lifting the coveted domestic crown for the first time.
Abdullah reached Hubballi on Friday evening to extend personal encouragement to the players during what many consider a defining chapter in the region’s sporting journey. The squad is competing in its maiden final of India’s top red ball tournament and is poised to secure an unprecedented triumph.
