Pulwama BDO Suspended Over Alleged Misconduct, Inquiry Initiated
Panchayat Inspector removed from charge as probe begins; report sought within 15 days
Srinagar, Mar 19: The Directorate of Rural Development Kashmir has ordered the suspension of a Panchayat Inspector who was serving as Block Development Officer in Newa, Pulwama, following allegations of misconduct.
As per the official directive, Mst. Layla Khalid has been relieved of her duties with immediate effect and attached to the office of the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat in Ganderbal during the suspension period.
To ensure continuity in administration, the responsibilities of the Newa block have been assigned to the Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama, who will handle the additional charge until further orders.
Authorities have also initiated a detailed probe into the matter. The Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama, has been tasked with conducting a thorough investigation and submitting a comprehensive report, along with recommendations, to the Directorate within a stipulated period of 15 days.
