Alia Bhatt Praises Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Beautiful’ Performance in Ramayana Teaser, Calls Him ‘Fabulous’

Mumbai, Apr 02 : The much awaited first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor’s epic film Ramayana is set to be unveiled on Thursday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. As anticipation builds among fans, actor Alia Bhatt has shared her excitement about the project and praised her husband’s performance in the film.

During a virtual interaction with fans, Alia encouraged audiences to support the upcoming reveal of what she referred to as the “Rama unit.” She confirmed that the teaser would be shared on her social media platforms and urged fans to watch and engage with it.

Speaking about Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal, Alia expressed admiration and enthusiasm. She described his work as “absolutely fabulous,” adding that he has delivered a “beautiful job” in the film. She further hinted that the visuals and performance are extraordinary, leaving fans eager for the official release.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor recently opened up about his initial hesitation in accepting the role of Lord Rama. At a special IMAX screening event in New York, the actor revealed that he initially felt unworthy of the responsibility and doubted whether he could do justice to such an iconic character. However, those doubts soon transformed into gratitude as he embraced the opportunity.

He also reflected on a personal turning point during that period, sharing that stepping into the role coincided with becoming a father. This phase inspired him to make significant lifestyle changes, adding deeper meaning to his journey with the film.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: The Introduction marks the first installment of an ambitious mythological franchise. The film features a star-studded cast including Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The music is being composed by Hans Zimmer in collaboration with AR Rahman.

Backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the film is reportedly mounted on a massive budget and is scheduled for a theatrical release on Diwali this year, with its second part planned for Diwali 2027.
