Assam Assembly Elections 2026: PM Narendra Modi Set to Address Three Key Rallies Ahead of April 9 Polling

BJP unveils star campaigners list for Bengal as regional parties sharpen narratives in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu, Apr 06 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to ramp up the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign in Assam by addressing three major public rallies on Monday, just days before the April 9 Assembly elections. According to reports, the Prime Minister will visit Bhabanipur-Sorbhog in Barpeta district, Hojai, and Dibrugarh, extending support to key BJP candidates including Ranjeet Kumar Das, Shiladitya Dev, and Prasanta Phukan. This marks his second trip to the state during the ongoing election season, with campaigning scheduled to conclude on Wednesday.

In a parallel development, the BJP has submitted its list of star campaigners for the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly Elections to the Election Commission. The list features top party leaders such as Narendra Modi, Nitin Nabin, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda, Dharmendra Pradhan, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Yogi Adityanath, highlighting the party’s aggressive outreach strategy in the state.

Meanwhile, political discourse has intensified in Tamil Nadu, where Chief Minister M K Stalin reiterated strong opposition to the three-language policy. Addressing a gathering in Madurai, he emphasized that the issue remains central to the state’s identity and expressed confidence that the DMK will secure a decisive mandate across all constituencies. On the other hand, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, campaigning in the state, projected optimism about the BJP led alliance forming the next government, citing increasing public support and the Prime Minister’s appeal among voters.

As multiple states witness high-voltage campaigning, the electoral landscape continues to evolve with contrasting narratives and strategic mobilisations shaping the run up to polling day.
