Naidu Urges TDP Cadre to Push Back Against YSRCP’s “Slander Campaign”

TDP chief emphasises leadership development, grassroots coordination, and awareness of welfare initiatives at Mangalagiri meeting

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday directed party functionaries to remain alert and actively respond to what he described as a sustained campaign of misinformation and intimidation by political opponents. Addressing a training session for cluster in charges at the party headquarters in Mangalagiri, Naidu outlined a comprehensive strategy aimed at reinforcing the party’s grassroots network and sharpening its political messaging.
During his interaction with party leaders, Naidu stressed the importance of discipline, coordination, and preparedness in dealing with emerging political challenges. He alleged that attempts were being made to influence sensitive matters through coercion and misleading narratives, urging cadre members to counter such developments responsibly and factually at every level.
Focusing on internal strengthening, the TDP supremo highlighted the need to build a resilient organisational structure capable of sustaining long-term political engagement. He encouraged workers to take initiative, expand their roles, and transition into leadership positions within their respective areas. According to him, empowering grassroots representatives is essential for maintaining the party’s connect with the public.
Naidu also called on party members to stay updated with current political and social developments, noting that awareness plays a crucial role in effective public communication. He emphasised that consistent governance and delivery of welfare schemes are key to earning and retaining public trust. Leaders, he said, must clearly convey the government’s development agenda and welfare efforts to citizens.
Criticising the previous administration, Naidu alleged that the state experienced setbacks in multiple sectors over the past five years. He urged party representatives to articulate this perspective to the electorate while also presenting the progress achieved under the present government.
Referring to recent controversies and incidents that have drawn public attention, Naidu expressed concern over the growing influence of criminal elements in politics. He reiterated that the strength of the party lies in its cadre and insisted that workers must be treated with respect and dignity at all times.
Concluding his address, Naidu called for united and well coordinated efforts to further consolidate the party’s base, stating that a strong organisational framework is vital for both governance and political stability.
