The event witnessed an overwhelming public turnout, with thousands gathering along the route to catch a glimpse of the prime minister.

Grand Procession Covers Key City Landmarks

The extensive roadshow began from Banaras Locomotive Works and moved through several prominent areas, including Lahartara, Kachahri, Ambedkar Chauraha, Chaukaghat, Teliyabag, Lahurabir, and Maidagin. The procession concluded at the revered Kashi Vishwanath Dham, one of the most significant spiritual landmarks in the country.

Crowds lined both sides of the streets, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the 14-kilometre stretch. Supporters, party workers, and residents enthusiastically greeted the prime minister, turning the roadshow into a vibrant public spectacle.

Temple Visit Marked by Rituals and Devotion

At the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Modi offered prayers and participated in traditional rituals accompanied by Vedic chants. The visit underscored the spiritual significance of the occasion, drawing attention from devotees and observers alike.

Following the पूजा, local representatives honoured the prime minister with symbolic gifts, including a trishul, damru, and a traditional stole. Modi acknowledged the gesture with gratitude and greeted those present at the temple complex.

Devotional Fervour and Public Enthusiasm

As the prime minister exited the temple premises, chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoed through the corridor. Modi responded warmly, waving to the crowd and folding his hands in a traditional gesture of respect. He also briefly interacted with children gathered at the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, adding a personal touch to the visit.

Supporters were also heard raising slogans such as “Jai Shri Ram,” reflecting the charged and devotional atmosphere that prevailed throughout the event.

Elaborate Welcome Arrangements Across the Route

According to Bharatiya Janata Party media in-charge Arvind Mishra, elaborate arrangements were made to स्वागत the prime minister at multiple points along the route. These included floral showers, drum performances, and conch shell greetings, showcasing the cultural vibrancy of the city.

Party workers and local residents participated in large numbers, highlighting the strong public engagement during the event. The scale of participation led party leaders to describe the roadshow as one of the largest ever आयोजित in Varanasi.

Unprecedented Turnout Reflects Strong Local Connect

Officials noted that dense crowds were visible throughout the मार्ग, with people assembling hours in advance. The massive turnout underscored Modi’s continued connection with the constituency, where he has served as Member of Parliament since 2014.
