Jammu to observe Maharana Pratap Jayanti with Grand ‘Dharam Jagran’ Programme on May 10

Jammu, May 8, 2026: A grand “Dharam Jagran” programme will be organised on May 10 in Jammu to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap, the legendary warrior king remembered for his unmatched bravery, sacrifice, patriotism, and commitment to dharma and self-respect.

The programme is being organised under the aegis of Dharam Jagran Samanvay, Jammu & Kashmir, and will be held at Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, Camp Road, Talab Tillo, Jammu, from 4:40 PM onwards.

Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and BJP J&K President Sat Paul Sharma will attend the programme as the Chief Guest, while Shri Arun Kant Ji, Akhil Bhartiya Sheh Pramukh of Dharam Jagran Samanvay, will be the Chief Speaker.

A press conference regarding the programme was organised at Press Club Jammu by Advocate P. S. Chandel Ji, Prant Vidhi Pramukh, Dharam Jagran as organiser of the press conference. The media was addressed by Shri Narayan Singh Ji, President Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha and Programme Parmukh, Pt. Shiv Raina Ji, Prant Sang Rakshak Dharam Jagran, and Shri Tarseem Chib Ji, Rajput Pariyozna Pramukh, Dharam Jagran.

Addressing the media, Shri Narayan Singh Ji said Maharana Pratap’s life continues to inspire generations with ideals of courage, nationalism, sacrifice, and resistance against injustice. He said the programme is aimed at awakening social consciousness and encouraging youth to contribute positively towards nation-building.

Pt. Shiv Raina Ji said that “Dharam Jagran” is not merely a religious initiative but also a movement to strengthen social harmony, cultural awareness, and national unity. He stressed the importance of educating younger generations about India’s glorious history and great national icons.

Shri Tarseem Chib Ji stated that Maharana Pratap belongs to the entire nation and his legacy should serve as a guiding force for society. He appealed to people to rise above caste and regional divisions and work collectively for social and national welfare.

Gharu Bhatti, President, Vamiki Colony Gandhi Nagar said that Maharana Pratap symbolises the spirit of self-respect, courage, and unwavering devotion towards the nation. He said today’s generation must understand the sacrifices made by great warriors and draw inspiration from their lives to protect the country’s cultural and moral values.

Advocate P. S. Chandel Ji appealed to intellectuals, youth organisations, and members of civil society to actively participate in such initiatives and help build a socially aware and united nation.

The organisers informed that the programme will include addresses by distinguished speakers, cultural presentations, and discussions on the relevance of Maharana Pratap’s ideals in present times, particularly in promoting patriotism, social unity, and moral values.

All citizens, youth organisations, and social groups have been invited to participate in large numbers and pay tribute to one of India’s greatest warriors.
