Rescue Teams Launch Operation After Fatal Road Accident at Nachlana
Banihal, May 17: A tragic road accident claimed one life after a truck skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Nachlana area of Banihal on Sunday, officials said.
According to reports, the vehicle reportedly went out of the driver’s control before falling into the gorge, leading to the death of one person on the spot. The impact of the crash left the truck badly damaged.
Soon after the incident, police personnel and rescue teams rushed to the accident site and initiated rescue and retrieval operations in the area. Locals also assisted officials during the operation.
The identity of the deceased could not be established immediately as efforts were underway to complete legal formalities and inform the family members.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
