India Intensifies Olympic Preparations Ahead of 2028 Games
Sports federations focus on athlete development and international exposure
NEW DELHI, May 29: India has accelerated preparations for the 2028 Olympic Games with sports authorities increasing focus on athlete training, international exposure and sports science support.
Officials said multiple national camps are being organised for athletes across disciplines including athletics, boxing, wrestling and shooting. The Sports Ministry is also strengthening grassroots talent identification programmes to prepare long-term medal prospects.
Experts believe India’s recent international performances have boosted confidence and raised expectations for improved Olympic results in the coming years.
