Embassy reiterates warning amid regional tensions, urges Indians to depart via available transport routes
India, June 08 : The Embassy of India in Tehran has reissued its advisory for Indian nationals in Iran, strongly advising against travel to the country and urging those currently present to leave without delay using available transport options.
In a notice posted on June 8, the embassy reiterated its earlier guidance, stressing that all Indian citizens should avoid visiting Iran due to ongoing developments in the region.
It further stated that Indians already in the country should make arrangements to exit at the earliest opportunity, depending on accessible modes of transport.
The advisory is part of a series of warnings issued in recent months as the situation in the region continues to evolve, prompting heightened caution for Indian citizens abroad.
Officials have been closely tracking developments and maintaining communication with nationals in Iran to ensure their safety and timely evacuation if required.
