JDA conducts draw of lots for allotment of PwBD-category 2-BHK flat

JAMMU, JUNE 22: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today conducted the draw of lots for allotment of a 2-BHK residential flat at JDA Heights Phase-II reserved under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. Ajay Gupta emerged as the successful allottee.

The draw, held under the housing scheme advertised by the Authority in March 2023, was conducted in the Conference Hall of JDA at Vikas Bhawan Jammu in presence of all eligible applicants and their family members, under the supervision of senior JDA officers.

Against the single flat reserved under the category, four applicants had submitted applications through the online portal in April 2023. These were scrutinised by the competent authority and found eligible for the draw.

Speaking on the occasion Jammu Development Authority Vice Chairman Rupesh Kumar said, the draw marked another step towards transparent and accountable governance, resolving a long-pending matter relating to the PwBD-category flat. He added that JDA remained committed to equal opportunity for eligible applicants and to addressing pending public matters expeditiously.

Ajay Gupta thanked JDA for conducting the process transparently and impartially, saying it had strengthened public confidence in the system.
