Dr. Suheel Rasool Mir Calls on LG, Highlights Cultural Heritage Preservation Initiatives

SRINAGAR, JULY 07: Dr. Suheel Rasool Mir, Sociologist and Cultural Researcher called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today and apprised him of several initiatives aimed at documenting, preserving, and promoting the Union Territory’s diverse cultural heritage.

Dr. Mir briefed the Lieutenant Governor on his extensive research and cultural documentation initiatives, including the conceptualization, curation, and establishment of Shina Cultural Centre at Gurez, Pahari Cultural Centre at Karnah, and Shina-Dard Cultural Centre at Darchik.

The Lieutenant Governor was also presented with the inaugural edition of Shinon Meeras Dard Heritage Magazine, and a book titled ‘Voices Across the Pir Panjal,’ authored by Dr. Mir.
