Putin Holds High-Level Talks with North Korean Foreign Minister Amid Growing Diplomatic Ties

Seoul: Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui in Moscow, marking another significant diplomatic engagement between the two countries as their strategic partnership continues to expand.

According to Russian state media reports, Putin expressed appreciation for North Korea’s support during Russia’s ongoing conflict with Ukraine, highlighting the growing cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang on international issues.

The meeting took place during Choe’s visit to Russia, which has attracted global attention due to the absence of any publicly announced major diplomatic event that would normally explain such a high-level visit.

Choe Son Hui’s Moscow Visit Sparks Summit Speculation

North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui arrived in Russia following an invitation from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. While Pyongyang has not revealed detailed information about the purpose of her visit, analysts believe the discussions could involve preparations for future high-level exchanges between the two nations.

The timing of Choe’s trip has led to speculation that she may be coordinating a possible visit by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to Russia.

These diplomatic activities highlight North Korea’s efforts to maintain close relations with both Russia and China.
