Kunal Kemmu reveals Sharmila Tagore’s cameo in VIBE
The veteran actress herself expressed interest in appearing in the film, turning her cameo into a special family connection.
MUMBAI, Sep 9: Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore is set to make a special cameo in Kunal Kemmu’s upcoming film VIBE, after personally expressing her desire to be part of the project.
Kemmu, who is returning to the director’s chair with the film, revealed that his wife, Soha Ali Khan, told him that her mother wanted to make an appearance in his next movie.
The actor filmmaker said directing a celebrated performer like Tagore was a privilege, while also acknowledging the additional pressure that came with having an accomplished actress on his set.
Tagore’s appearance is planned as a cameo rather than a major role, adding a personal touch to the project and bringing another connection to Kemmu’s family into the film.
VIBE marks Kemmu’s return to filmmaking following Madgaon Express. Besides directing the movie, he has also written and co-produced it and plays a role in the film.
The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on September 18 and has already generated interest because of Kemmu’s return behind the camera and Tagore’s special appearance.
