UDHAMPUR, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib today chaired an interactive meeting with the Tribal Community members and listened to their issues and demands, here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Viqar Ahmed Giri; Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary.

During the interaction, the representatives of Tribal Community put forth their demands and sought augmentation of water supply, improvement in power supply scenario, the inclusion of left out beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Sehat Scheme, Functioning of Mobile Schools, Permission for migration, MGNREGA job cards for community members, implementation of Forest Right Act, etc.
After giving the patient hearing, the DC assured them that their genuine demands will be resolved in a phased manner at the earliest. She asked the officers of the District and Tehsil administration to address the issues immediately.
The DC said that the Government of India has launched various schemes for the welfare of the Tribal Community. She asked the members to come forward and avail the benefits of the schemes meant for their economic development. She urged upon the concerned officers to aware of the community members about various schemes. She also advised the members to get themselves registered under the SEHAT scheme to avail best Medicare facilities.
The delegation members expressed gratitude towards the Lt Governor for the implementation of the Forest Rights Act.
