DM Udhampur bans sale of synthetic, nylon coated thread for kite flying

UDHAMPUR, JULY 07:  District Magistrate Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today issued an order under section 144 Cr PC, imposing a ban on procuring, stocking, sale, and use of synthetic  Nylon glass coated thread popularly known as Pakka thread/Dori and Chinese  Manja/Dori along with other threads coated with glass in the District.

As per the order, the move has been taken as a measure of emergency and to prevent serious injuries or death to human beings and birds and to prevent harm to wildlife and the environment.

Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur shall ensure implementation of this order in the letter in spirit.
