Congress condemns lathi charge on NSUI ; Demands action against erring police officer

Jammu, September 21:  Congress has strongly condemned the brutal lathi charge on the NSUI leaders and activists, led by State President Sunny Parihar on the issue of Central University Students.

JKPCC strongly condemns the brutal lathi-charge and unruly behavior and abuses by a Police Inspector to the student leaders. The students were protesting over the genuine issue and peacefully demonstrating but the police led by police inspector Ravinder Singh resorted to unjust treatment and hurled abuses on the student activists. The party demands action against the erring police officer, as he has brought a bad name to the police force, otherwise the party shall take further course of action, said  JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma.
