Dr Samoon chairs meeting regarding establishment of GoI institutions in JK

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 28: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today convened a meeting with senior officers regarding the establishment of Heritage Skill Development Institute, Skill Institutes by the Government of India at Budgam besides establishment of CEPT at Jammu.

Principal Secretary asked the concerned officers to take all necessary measures for ensuring the availability of land for the establishment of these prestigious institutions.

He said that the skill development of youth is a priority of the government and many initiatives are being taken up in this regard. He said that the Skill Development Department has a pivotal role to play in providing skill development to overcome the problem of unemployment in UT.
