Reservation is a necessity, explained SC,ST& OBC Confederation in a virtual meeting

Jammu, 31.10.2021: Today a zoom meeting was held by the state leaders of All India Confederation of SC, ST, OBC organizations to bring awareness and discuss the importance of the need for a reservation. The unlawful activities by the police and government towards backward classes which are escalating progressively was a matter of discussion. It was made clear that reservation will play an important role not only in getting job opportunities and upliftment but also to get justice and equality. The important discussion also included the topic of uniting people for this cause.

RK Kalsotra, state President of Confederation asked people to commit to the cause as only the public has the power to transmute. The role of youth is always considered as the most influential tool for dissemination and so was discussed in the meeting. It is now that we stand for what was a chance to be on the same level as others but without reservation, it is nearly impossible. So, to make a change and fight against injustice it is important to come together and fight for what we deserve!

While remembering Dr. BR Ambedkar it was marked that what he did for us was something unachievable but his determination led us to where we are but, it is slowly slipping away. Reservation in promotions has been snatched, age concession to SC ST OBCs has been withdrawn, in new advertisements reservation in recruitment is also denied to SC ST OBCs and even caste atrocities are at a rise. To payback, what we owe Dr. Ambedkar, we should set on to our aim to achieve what he envisioned and without any break off we should just head into the social justice movement.

Confederation leaders from all over the state participated and among those who spoke were Dina Nath, Suraj Parkash, Khatish Bhagat, Subash Chander, Raj Kumar, Vijay Kumar Bhagat, Sandeep Kumar, Puran Chand & Bansi Lal Aryan.
