Jammu, 05.02.2022: All India Confederation of SC, ST, OBC organization today held a meeting via zoom to remember a great personality Sh. Rattan Chand kalotra.
RK Kalsotra, State President Confederation, and all cadre of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations, J&K remembered him and gave their messages.
RK Kalsotra told other confederation members about the demise of a dear friend. He said that on Thursday our society received a disheartening message that we lost a guide and a friend, Sh. Ratan Chand Kalotra, (Retd SP), Kathua (J&K). He came into our contact in 1997-98 at the start of the Confederation movement in J&K & till the end he remained with us as an active member, guiding us to work for the upliftment of the society and attended many protests, rallies organized by the Confederation. He was a think tank of the Dalit Samaj who always tried his best for the betterment of the downtrodden. He was also associated with Congress. His demise is a loss to the whole of society particularly Dalit Samaj. Our tributes to him for his glorious services to the underprivileged.
Other participants in the meeting also paid tribute to him. Remembering his efforts for the confederation RK Kalsotra encouraged the participants to not lose hope and just focus on our goal. The participants eventually began to engage in the debate about the latest supreme court verdict on reservation in promotions. Participants made it extremely important and clear that it is now the time we step in to take back what was ours. Uniting people and awaring people was focused. Participants engaged themselves in an interactive zoom meeting.
The meeting was concluded by remembering Sh. Rattan Chand Kalotra’s efforts and his determination towards the confederation.
