JAMMU, Apr 23: Terming the J&K visit of PM Narendra Modi to be significant, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Saturday said that Indian premier’s visit will give new dimensions to the development trail in the Union Territory.
In a statement issued to media persons, Kavinder said that J&K is very close PM Modi due to countless factors. He said that prior to becoming the PM of the country and even the CM of Gujarat, PM Modi remained active in J&K to accomplish number of jobs assigned to him by the then BJP High Command. He said that PM Modi holds special affection towards the Jammu and Kashmir, which is evident even today as he has visited the UT so many times breaking all records of successive PMs who visited the region during their tenures as PM.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that post abrogation of Art 370, J&K witnessed unprecedented development and to add another chapter of progress in the development trail PM Modi is likely to launch power projects, tunnels, express-way and many more projects in one go during the Sunday visit to Panchayat Palli in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba District.
Expressing anguish over recent terror attack in Jammu, he said that attempts are being made to disrupt PM’s rally but BJP is people’s party and the Jammu people will make this rally a big success. He said that people should come forward in support of PM Modi to encourage him to steer the country out of poverty and chaos due to several factors with terrorism topping the chart.
“Only PM Modi can bail out people of the country from the prevailing chaotic situation as other political parties have their own vested interests which to a large extent have been exposed by the nationalist BJP number of times”, he added.
