Former VC  Dr. Shazad Demands’  Repair of Damaged School in  Balakote

Jammu, 05/July/2022:  Dr. Shazad Ahmed Malik, former Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference has urged the School Education Department to immediately repair the damaged government middle School Gola Nari, Sanghiote in Block Balakote of District Poonch.

 During his tour of Village Sanghiote along with prominent local people,  they showed him the damaged rooftop of government middle school Gola Nari, the roof shed of the school is made up of tin which is missing from many spots besides a poor condition of washrooms of the school. It is the only nearby government school in the area and people demanded that it must be repaired before the opening of school (culmination of summer vacations) failing which the teachers and students won’t be able to join their classes during the rainy season as the roof of the school is damaged.  Dr. Shazad has urged the government to take appropriate action in this regard at the earliest.

Dr. Shazad was on a visit to different areas of border areas of Balakote Block on the invitation of locals, the BADC Chairman also held several meetings with the villagers who apprised him about their day-to-day problems related to Power Department, Health, Water Supply, Road Connectivity, and School education department.

They also highlighted certain discrepancies in construction works done by the Rural development department and urged the former VC to highlight these issues. Dr. Shazad gave a patient hearing to the grievances of the villagers and assured to raise them at an appropriate forum for their immediate redressal.
