Shiv Sena takes out Tiranga rally, demands restoration of state status
Establishes contact with people under ‘Shiv Sampark Abhiyan’, distributes "Lakshey Ptr" .Job to land sons, raised demand for unemployment allowance
JAMMU, 12-07-2022: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena today took out a rally with tricolor flags in their hands demanding restoration of State status to Jammu and Kashmir. During the rally, the Shiv Sainiks also distributed “Lakshey Ptr” based on people’s aspirations. Today’s rally is part of a mega campaign “Shiv Sampark” aimed to establish direct contact with the public to know their pressing problems and issues and address them besides making them aware of the party’s people-centric program.
The rally was held under the leadership of party-state chief Manish Sahni with Shiv Sainiks holding the tricolor flags in their hands beside placards displaying slogans “Restore the State status” and “Fulfill your promises”. Moving on foot the rally commenced from the famous Raghunath Temple Market establishing direct contact with the public under ‘Shiv Sampark Abhiyan’ and distributing the manifesto and objectives of the party based on the aspirations of the people.
In his address on the occasion Manish Sahni said that on August 5, 2019, on the floor of the House, the Prime Minister and the Home Minister of the country had promised to return the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir soon. Three years have passed but nothing has been done in this regard. He said that none of the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been fulfilled by the Modi government at the Centre. Promises like the development of Jammu and Kashmir and employment opportunities for the youth have also proved to be mere ‘Jumlas’.
Recently, the figures of 700 youths of Jammu and Kashmir who joined terrorist organizations by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the last four years prove to what extent the youth of the state are affected by the rising unemployment.
Sahni said that Shiv Sena has prepared a 25-point “Lakshey Ptr” /Manifesto based on the aspirations of the people and the Party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir with a pledge to fulfill all its twenty-five promises.
Expressing concern over the growing unemployment figures in J&K due to which there is great despair and anger among the youth, the Shiv Sena head demanded that the first right on the government jobs of Jammu and Kashmir should be that of the local youth of the land here. Sahni said that due to the current situation in Kashmir, no big investor is coming forward to invest in Kashmir as a result of which it is not possible for the youth to get jobs even in the private sector.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shiv Sena in its Manifesto cum Policy declaration has demanded unemployment allowance for unemployed youth.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Meenakshi Chibber, Vikas Bakshi, Rakesh Gupta, Raj Singh, Geeta Lakhotra, Sukhwinder Kaur, Dimple, Mangu Ram, Sumit, Ashok Kumar, Praveen Gupta, Rajesh Handa, Sanjeev Sudan were present.
