Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh celebrates 76th Independence Day

Dudu Basantgarh, 15 August 2022 Govt.:  Degree College Dudu Basantgarh, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrated Independence Day with great excitement and enthusiasm. A week-long Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan also came to its conclusion.

In the early morning, the National Flag was hoisted by the worthy principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand in the presence of staff members and students. The flag hoisting was followed by the national anthem, a cultural program including patriotic songs, skit performances, bhangra, etc. As many as 25 students participated in the cultural program. On this occasion, a Symposium on the theme “Indian Freedom Struggle” was conducted in which eight students participated.

 While speaking on the occasion, the principal of the college Dr. Bhavnaish Chand said that we have been enjoying freedom and liberty on the grounds of supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters who fought with the British to gain independence. He further said that post-independence has brought a lot of achievements in every sector including education, industry, science and technology, and agriculture. He appreciated the efforts made by the students to showcase their talent by performing different activities on this occasion under the guidance of Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof Pradeep Kumar Kundal, Prof Vijay Kumar, and Dr. PP Singh.

In the end, prizes were distributed among all the participants by the principal of the college in the presence of all the staff members.
