Kavinder sets priorities, asks Corporators to draw roadmap for ensuing Assembly polls  

JAMMU, Aug 21: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Sunday helped the Corporators to set priorities looking into the upcoming Assembly polls as the election commission can declare the same anytime soon.
The BJP stalwart leader was speaking during a pre-House meeting of Corporators here. He asked the Corporators to prepare roadmap for the party and start canvassing to ensure thumping majority in the UT Assembly following the polls which are round the corner.
Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, Parmod Kapahi Chief Whip, Chairpersons of JMC Committees Raj Kumar, Hardeep Mankotia and Ajay Gupta besides all the Corporators were present in the meeting. The meeting held threadbare discussions on various significant issues while the former deputy chief minister gave a resounding message to party cadre to shun lassitude and start the mobilization of party workers to dispel the doubts created by the opposition parties among the masses about the party’s functioning.
Kavinder said that time is less and goals are high therefore every single day counts. Besides the meeting agenda revolved around the issues pertaiing to making JMC more vibrant, focus on Smart City initiatives, wooing new voters, reconstruction of civic edifice damaged due to heavy rains, fast-pacing ongoing projects, tackling efficiently the day to day issues and problems of the people and making strategies with regard to  re-organisation of various constituencies.
 Kavinder made it clear that people should not face any difficulty in the region on account of the lethargic working culture of Municipality and also asked the Corporators to gird up loins as the coming days are crucial as far as the future of the party in the UT is concerned. He said that the concerned party men should come up with a roadmap to ensure more and more people embrace and endorse BJP’s ideology as there is no other party in J&K which can match  the credentials of the saffron party.
