Block Divas Activities Held Across Five Blocks of Ramnagar,Dudu, Chenani, Majalta and Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 21: District Administration Udhampur today organized  Block Diwas activities across five blocks of Ramnagar, Dudu, Chenani, Udhampur, and Majalta, whereat  BDC Chairpersons and PRIs of adjoining blocks also participated.

For Block  Udhampur,  Block divas were organized at Conference Hall DC Office Complex wherein  Sarpanches, Panches, and people of different panchayats apprised the  Nodal Officer of the block about various problems being faced by them. They demanded improvement of roads, the release of pending MGNREGA wages, improvement of drainages, augmentation of drinking water, power scenario,  Sanitation, and adequate supply of ration.

DDC Udhampur, Dr. Piyush  Singla monitored the activities and said that the main aim of organizing block diwas is to register and address the public grievances at their doorsteps.

The DDC directed the officers to work with missionary zeal to address the genuine issues of the people on priority. He said that the basic aim to hold such public outreach camps is to get feedback on on-going developmental activities by various departments. Seniors designated officers were present at these block headquarters to address the public issues on spot.
