BJP will replace Indian Constitution and Tiranga Flag: Mehbooba Mufti

07-01-2023 : Mehbooba Mufti, Chief of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, stated on Saturday that no matter how strong a country is, it cannot win a war against its own people. Mufti made this statement at Bijbehara, Anantnag while paying tribute to her late father and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, on the anniversary of his death.

Mufti also attacked the Centre-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, claiming that the BJP will replace the national flag and Indian Constitution with a saffron flag. Mufti has been a vocal critic of the BJP government, particularly following the abrogation of Article 370, and has frequently criticized the BJP for the deteriorating law and order situation in the valley.

Mufti has also accused the BJP of demonizing Kashmiris and worsening the situation in the Union Territory.
