BJP makes false promises, AAP translates words on ground: Tony

Inaugurates Jal Shakti Tube Well Project worth Rs 7.21 crore at village Chakroi

SUCHETGARH, JAN 10: Taranjit Singh Tony Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and District Development Council (DDC) Member Suchetgarh, accusing the BJP Govt of making only false promises, has asserted that it is Aam Aadmi Party that translates words into deeds which is the hallmark of its governance witnessed by the people in Delhi and Punjab.

The senior AAP leader stated this during a function at Village Chakroi in Suchetgarh constituency where he along with Sarpanch Chakroi and District President Jammu Central Sham Lal Bhagat, Mandeep Chaudhary, Naib Sarpanchs Joginder Bhagat and Roshan Bhagat inaugurated the Jal Shakti project of drinking water tube well here today. The project estimated to be completed at a cost of Rs. 7.21 crore will benefit three Panchayats in Suchetgarh constituency with people getting clean drinking water.

While addressing the gathering of people on the occasion, the senior AAP leader said that despite this constituency being represented by BJP leader for 12 years who also held the portfolio of the PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Ministry, the people of this area continued to be deprived of the basic amenity of clean drinking water.

Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of only raising hollow slogans and delivering nothing on ground, Tony said that it is only because of his consistent efforts in the District Development Council (DDC) that during a short span of two years span that almost Rs. 75 crore were expended for various projects of Jal Shakti with the aim to provide clean drinking water to the people across Suchetgarh. He said that here lies the major difference as BJP only makes promises but Aam Aadmi Party does not remain confined to words but gets the same translated on ground.

Castigating the BJP Government for its utter failure on all fronts, Tony said that the situation has worsened in J&K because the BJP Government at the Centre continues to make hollow claims and trying to prove the same by planning frequent events in J&K while the reality is on the contrary with the people suffering miserably especially on account of government’s failure to provide the basic amenities. He said that people are fed up with the mis-governance of BJP and shall teach it a lesson when the Assembly elections are held.
