Ram Sanyasi Dogri Poetry Book Released: NDS “Pataru Cheten Da” a Poetry Book
21-01-2023 : Ram Sanyasi Dogri Poetry Book Released: NDS “Pataru Cheten Da” a Poetry Book in Dogri penned by well-known Dogri Poet Ram Sanyasi was released by Nami Dogri Santha. Kavindwr Gupta, Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir was Chief Guest on the occasion whereas renowned Singer of Jammu And Kashmir Prof.Anupama Sharma Presided over the function. D.S. Chouhan and Piyush Gupta both Advocates of J&K High Court were Guest Of Honour and Special Guests of the function.
The function was attended by prominent writers, artists and literature lovers.
Ashok Gupta former Chief Editor of the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages read a detailed paper on the poetry book and lauded the usage of rich Dogri Vocabulary by Ram Sanyasi in his writings.
The function was impressively compered by Yash Pal Yash known Poet, Music Composer and General Secretary of NDS. Ram Pal Journalist, Photographer and singer provided Videography and Photography to the event. Ram Sanyasi is a renowned name among Dogri Writers who have already contributed Two Books to the Dogri literature.
His poetry is mainly focused on social and human issues. His poetry fountains love, positivity, social concerns, patriotism and love for mankind. Poet has remained associated with a pioneer doorshan programme “Sohani Dharti” a farmer’s programme for more than fifteen years and is popular among the farmer community.
Dogri literature has many more expectations from this versatile poet. Brij Mehra a literary enthusiast and eldest uncle of the poet who attended the function along with his family members lauded the tireless literary endeavours of NDS, blessed his nephew and appreciated him for enriching the Dogri literature with his creative writing. Capt Lalit Sharma Convener NDS in his opening address while expressing his views on the released poetry book said that the creativity of a writer or an artist is his real identity and even decades after him people can know him through his writings and art.
Kavinder Gupta in his address while complimenting Ram Sanyasi said that the new education policy emphasizes the local language which aims at strengthening the local languages and Culture thereby strengthening our identity and “Unity in Diversity” concept. Prof.Anupama Sharma appealed to all Dogras to speak Dogri in their homes and social circle for creating mass pride and attracting our children towards the rich Duggar history, culture and Dogri language. On general request, she sang a Dogri song of Ram Sanyasi which was earlier recorded on Radio cum Doordarshan in her melodious voice. D.S. Chouhan said that Dogri is our identity and needs to be maintained at all costs. Advocate Harish Kaila President of NDS repeated the NDS demand for a separate “Duggar Channel”. Piyush Gupta said that our Mother Tongue Dogri is our pride which should be maintained at all costs. Dr. Sushil Bhola and Shambu Ram Piasa both Executive Members of NDS also expressed their views. Advocate Amit Gupta Vice President of NDS extended a Vote Of Thanks at the end.
