Govt working for betterment of Artists: Kavinder

JAMMU,26-03-2023: Today a grand cultural Festival was organized in the Govt. Higher Secondary School, Jagti with a huge number of audience in the presence of Mr. Suhail Qazmi Hon’ble Member of Wakhpur J&K.

A grand show of Folk Festival (Hanze), Rouf Dance, Bach-e-Nagmeh, Kashmiri Chakri, Dogri Dance, and Punjabi Dance was presented during the programme which enthralled the audience including the dignitaries. This Festival is organized to promote the Kashmiri pandits, and artists to showcase their Talent.

Awards were given to the Top Five Talented students of Kashmiri pandits, a few more Awards to participants, information, and felicitations were also given away by the Sh. Kavinder Gupta “Formal Deputy Chief Minister J&K” (BJP).

While speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Formal Chief Minister of J&K (BJP) reiterated the importance of the art & Culture of Kashmir. He said this is the best cultural Festival in Jagti (which is promoted by the Kashmiri pandit Artist). Further said that the government is working for the betterment of all Artists. He assured the cultural programs in the future so that all artists renowned and new talent will get the chance to perform.

Suhail Qazmi Honourable Member Wakhpur J&K (the senior Journalist), Secretary of J&K Art Culture & Languages, Sh. Yudveer Sethi vice president of BJP J&K Teachers, other Local Artists, & huge no. Of public were also present.

While giving the welcome address Festival Director, Gulzar Ahmed Bhat said that he was overwhelmed with the excitement to have the Hon’ble Formal Deputy Chief Minister, the chief guest in the show to do the inauguration of this festival. He further said that he is happy that the current government is keen to support the artists of J&K. He also demanded for a cultural policy so that the artists are benefitted. Last but not least he expressed thanks to the print and electronic media.
