Two Women Held for Drug Trafficking in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla District

Jammu and Kashmir Police Nab Two Women with Drugs in Baramulla.

10-04-2023 : In Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, two female drug peddlers were arrested by the police on Monday, and a quantity of Charas-like contraband was seized from them. Shakeela Begum and Muskaan Bano, both residents of Dewanbagh Baramulla, were apprehended by the Baramulla Police Station during a routine patrol near the Roads and Buildings Office. The two women were traveling from Dewanbagh towards Main Chowk Baramulla and tried to flee the scene upon seeing the checking party.

However, the police tactfully apprehended them. During a personal search, 200 grams of a Charas-like substance was found on them, and both were taken into custody immediately. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act at the Baramulla Police Station, and an investigation has been initiated.
