Yash Raj Films (YRF), the production house founded by Yash Chopra, released an official statement on Thursday announcing her demise. The statement expressed the Chopra family’s deep sadness and requested privacy during this difficult time. Pamela Chopra had a multifaceted career in the film industry, working as a singer, costume designer, writer, and co-producer in many Yash Raj Films’ productions.
Pamela Chopra’s contributions to the Indian film industry were significant. She lent her voice to several popular songs in movies such as Kabhie Kabhie, Noorie, Kaala Patthar, Chandni, Silsila, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, among others. She was also credited as a writer for the film Kabhie Kabhie and as a dress designer for Silsila and Sawaal.
In addition to her work in film production and philanthropy, Pamela Chopra was also an author. She penned an autobiography titled ‘Romancing with Life’, which was published in 2014. The book offered insights into her life, her relationship with her husband Yash Chopra, and her experiences in the film industry.
