Terrorist Attack in Rajouri District of J&K Claims Lives of Two Indian Soldiers

05-05-2023 : Tragedy struck the Kandi area of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, as an encounter broke out between security forces and two to three terrorists on Friday morning. The violent exchange resulted in the martyrdom of two soldiers, while four others, including an officer, sustained injuries.
Army officials have identified the terrorists as members of the same group responsible for the April 20 ambush of an army truck, which led to the death of at least five soldiers, with one more injured. The firefight between the terrorists and security forces is taking place at Doke in the Banyari Hills of Rajouri district.
To prevent further escalation of violence, mobile internet services in Rajouri district have been suspended, according to officials. The encounter operation is still ongoing, with security forces attempting to neutralize the terrorists.
