Sunil Verma led NC delegation congratulates DC for taking charge, highlights public issues

UDHAMPUR, MAY 7: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) District Udhampur unit headed by the party’s District President Sunil Verma called on the Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishy, IAS, and congratulated him for assuming charge as DC Udhampur here today. SSP Udhampur, Dr Vinod Kumar was also present on the occasion.

During the meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, Sunil Verma discussed burning issues faced by the people of district Udhampur including those pertaining to sanitation, civic issues, traffic mismanagement, embezzlement of funds, etc.

Verma conveyed to the Deputy Commissioner that the people of the district had high hopes pinned to him for addressing their issues.

After listening to the delegation members patiently and deliberating and discussing all the highlighted issues threadbare, the Deputy Commissioner assured the delegation that all the issues raised and brought to his knowledge would be addressed in a phased manner as soon as possible.

The DC said that in this regard he would direct the officers to work in coordination for the equitable development of the district as also to resolve all the genuine demands of the public on priority. It would not be out of context to mention here that he also asked the officers to note down all the highlighted issues and redress the same at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Sunil Verma on behalf of the delegation members and the National Conference assured full support and cooperation to the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner to make Udhampur a better place to live in.
