14-05-2023 : On Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir’s lieutenant governor, Manoj Sinha, released the “Shri Amarnathji Yatra Guidebook” published by the Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ). The LG praised the TFJ for their selfless service to the pilgrims and shared the key initiatives taken by the UT government and Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board to ensure a hassle-free and smooth pilgrimage for the devotees.
In addition, the LG highlighted the efforts to promote spiritual tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed gratitude to the LG-led UT administration and the Shrine Board for their efforts in augmenting the facilities for pilgrims and service providers. The 62-day-long Shri Amarnathji Yatra is set to commence on July 1 this year and will end on August 31.
The guidebook aims to provide comprehensive information about the Shri Amarnathji Yatra to the pilgrims, including the do’s and don’ts, accommodation options, medical facilities, and emergency services available during the pilgrimage. The TFJ has been providing essential services to the pilgrims for over four decades and has been recognized for its significant contributions to the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
The release of the guidebook is an essential step in the preparation for the pilgrimage and will serve as a valuable resource for the pilgrims.
