CHANDIGARH : BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today strongly condemned the AAP government in Punjab for “deliberately violating the provisions of Rural development Fund” provided by the Centre.
Chugh said the AAP government had been misusing funds allotted to it under the RDF. The funds given to the state earlier were misdirected to other heads which was not in consonance with the spirit of RDF.
Taking exception to reports that Punjab’s Aam Aadmi Party government is all set to move the Supreme Court against the Government of India for its failure to release Rural Development Fund, the BJP leader said the RDF was meant for rural development and growth.
“But the AAP government had been directing the funds for other ends which had political motives. The state has no local standi to move the apex court after indulging in gross fiscal indiscipline, “he added.
