Lagan Society organizes workshop on Duggar Folk Music
Jammu, May 18: Lagan Society for Art and Culture organized a workshop on the subject of Duggar Folk Song and Music which includes Indian Classical Music at the premises of Music Institute situated at Talab Tillo Chowk, Jammu, which was witnessed by a large number of students and art lovers.
The workshop-like Folk song and Music as well as Indian Classical Music with special emphasis on the promotion and protection of dying Folk traditions of the Jammu Region. The main focus of this workshop was the promotion of the Duggar culture of J&K.
The function was started with the lighting of a traditional lamp and presented the bouquet to the guests by the members of the society.
On this occasion, the participants were Lagan Verma, Aditi Gupta, Ayushi Bhat, Parmita Sharma, Aditya Sharma, Rudra Chouhan, Vinod Kumar, Amodini Malhotra and Shingarika Malhotra.
The guests and parents appreciated the role of society for highlighting the importance of Duggar culture. At the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Rajesh Kumar Verma, President, the Lagan Society for Art and Culture to the guests as well as the audience.
