J&K: One terrorist killed in encounter at Lalpora village in Pulwama

06-11-2020:In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, one terrorist was killed in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces at the village Lalpora in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district this morning.
Police sources said that a joint team of security forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Lalpora yesterday evening, following the intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the village.
As the joint team approached the spot, the terrorists fired upon them and one terrorist was killed in retaliation. The identity of the slain terrorist is being ascertained.
One local terrorist has also surrendered during the encounter.
Meanwhile, the joint operation in the area was going on when the reports last came in. Further details are awaited.
