01-06-2023 : The NSS unit of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, recently hosted a compelling poster-making competition centered around the theme of Mission LiFE. The initiative was inspired by the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s introduction of Mission LiFE at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow. Mission LiFE aims to foster a global movement of ‘pro-planet people’ by encouraging the adoption of sustainable lifestyles. With a keen focus on raising awareness among students about the Mission LiFE initiative, the NSS volunteers took the initiative to organize this engaging event. Approximately 30 volunteers enthusiastically participated in the competition, where they exhibited their creativity and artistic skills through their thought-provoking posters.
The event was skillfully coordinated by Anshika, an enthusiastic NSS volunteer who ensured its smooth execution. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, the NSS coordinator, and Dr. Kamaldeep, the co-coordinator, were present to support and appreciate the volunteers for their exceptional efforts in organizing the event.
