India's Total Covid-19 Cases Reach 4.49 Crore, Active Infections Account for Just 0.01%

10-06-2023 : According to the latest data from the Union health ministry, India reported an increase of 186 new Covid-19 cases in a single day. However, there is a positive trend as the number of active infections has decreased to 2,501. The death toll remains at 5,31,888, as reported in the data updated at 8 am.

The total number of Covid cases in India has reached 4.49 crore (4,49,92,648), and currently, the active cases account for only 0.01 percent of the total infections, as mentioned in the update. This indicates a relatively low proportion of ongoing cases compared to the overall count.

The national Covid recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.81 percent, according to information provided on the health ministry’s website. A significant number of individuals, totaling 4,44,58,259, have successfully recuperated from the disease. The case fatality rate is reported at 1.18 percent, indicating a relatively low percentage of deaths in proportion to the total number of cases.

In terms of vaccination, India has made remarkable progress. The country has administered a staggering 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine thus far, as stated on the ministry’s website. This highlights the extensive efforts undertaken to vaccinate the population and control the spread of the virus.
